Welcome!
This
project is the result of a well-established cooperation among various
members of SERN - Sweden Emilia Romagna Network and two European partners
interested in developing a network on energy efficiency and its effects
at local level. The laeding partner of this project is the Swedish Municipality
of Boden, located in the Norrbotten Region.
The general objectives of this project are closely linked
to the EU goal of reducing energy consuption and to introduce a more sustainable
enery use by 2020. By that date, the EU annual consuption of primary energy
has to be lowed by 20%. The involvement of the local and regional governments
is essential.
The specific aims of this project are:
to bring a deeper knowledge about the European approaches among the participating countries to exchange best practises on specific issues linked to energy efficiency. Particular attention is paid to:
- energy efficiency and territorial planning
- innovation in design in the bulding construction
- communication actions within the local sector.
The project foresees two seminar, one in Italy (Forlì municipality) and
the second one in Sweden (Boden municipality). The first meeting is useful
to deepen the knowledge about policy solutions, technical innovation and
the best practices already adopted in the different EU countries; then
the second meeting has as main aim the evaluation of the first results
of the cooperation and to set the basis for further projects.
The project constitutes a first step for the development of a long-term cooperataion on the energy efficiency issue.
This project is co-financed by the European Union within the programme
"Europe for Citizens" 2007 – 2013.
